Jennifer Aniston has some comments on the popular TikTok salad bearing her name.

In the recent months, a popular variation on a Cobb salad gone viral after users claimed it was the salad the Friends star ate for lunch every day for a decade. Aniston, though, is come to dispel the salad illusion.

In a June interview for ELLE, the Friends actor clarified the situation. She told the outlet, "It looks like a nice salad, but that's not the thing I did on Friends."

As prepared by a number of TikTok users, the salad's essential components comprise diced cucumber, quinoa, chopped pistachios, diced red onion, mint, parsley, and crumbled feta. The final product is then topped with an entire can of chickpeas and drizzled with olive oil and lemon juice.

This final component is the reason why Aniston believes it was never her preferred work lunch. She stated that she would not put that many chickpeas into her salad because it is "not good for the digestive system."

While attempting to "debunk" the salad rumor, she admitted the huge impact of the viral trend. "I feel awful because it's been actually ripped off," she remarked.

However, the alleged salad that has garnered millions of views on social media has an air of intrigue.

PEOPLE revealed what Aniston eats in a day in December 2020, based on her Instagram takeover via her beauty firm Living Proof, and she posted a similar salad.

"My ideal salad," she remarked of the simple meal. Bulgar, cucumbers, parsley, mint, red onion, chickpeas, feta cheese, and pistachios.

The 2010 Los Angeles Times article in which Courteney Cox described the "doctored up" Cobb salad, stating that Aniston added turkey bacon and garbanzo beans, also appears to have inspired social media users.

TikTokers have created their own variations of tiki torches, largely reliant on chickpeas, mint, and parsley, based on information scattered over the Internet. The TikTok user @themodernnonna popularized the fad in January with a video of her own customized recipe. Over 105,000 people liked the video on the platform.

She said in the video, "Did you know that Jennifer Aniston ate the same salad for ten years on the Friends set?" "She describes this as the perfect salad."

In May, content creator Jamie Milne also capitalized on the salad craze with a viral TikTok video that received over 2 million likes. She captioned the post, "Best I've ever had."
